Traditional Iranian music singer Salar Aghili is to perform live at the first edition of Asr Film Festival held in Turkey.
The Iranian accomplished singer will sing at the festival’s inaugural ceremony February 19 in the Turkish capital city of Ankara as well as its closing ceremony February 21.
Aghili is regarded as one of the foremost Persian classical vocalists of his generation with a mellifluous voice.
Over 20 Iranian artists have been invited to attend the event, including Shahrzad Kamalizade, Maral Farjad, Anahita Afshar, Mohammad Reza Ghafari, Majid Salehi, Afshin Hashemi and Roya Teymourian.
Several Iranian movies are also set to vie at the film event. Some of these films include ‘Where Are My Shoes’ by Kiumars Pourahmad, ‘Salaam Mumbai’ by Ghorban Mohammadpour, ‘Death of the Fish’ by Rouhollah Hejazi, 'Fish' by Davoud Khayam, ‘Lantouri’ by Reza Dormishian, ‘Hard Makeup’ by Hamid Nematollahi, Mehdi Fard Ghaderi’s ‘Immortality’ and ‘Drought & Lies’ by Pedram Alizadeh.
First edition of Asr Film Festival in Turkey will be organized in collaboration with the private sector.
